I'm fairly sure that after this I will be done with Mr. Hiddleston's cheekbones. I just couldn't get this image of Loki plotting with the Cosmis Cube (fine Tesseract but I still think that is an idiotic name) out of my head before I painted it.
There’s steps to the finished piece in my blog as usual [link]
I also did another painting of Tom Hiddleston as Loki
Hi I may have commented on some of your work already, but I'm spreading the word to as MANY Hiddles fans as I can, we're making a scrap book consisting of fan art to give to Tom on his birthday, in a few days (the head of the project has already spoken with his agency and they said they'd deliver). And I am personally inviting you to partake.
You can check out the details on the flyer we made about it here: [link] We also have a group for the project:
Please note you may see the same message on other Hiddles art I left it on, but note I only put it there on work I personally thought to be outstanding . -But to anyone else who sees this, everyone is welcome to partake with fan artwork.
Adore it! Especially the look in Loki's eyes. It's almost photographically real.
Hmm, detailed critique. The coloration on his knuckles needs more depth. There's definitely more going on with knuckle bonds there and the shadows could be more complex. The shadows on the back of the foreground hand should be more complex in general because the light source is in front of the hand.
Also I feel like the fur coat on the right hand side should hang down more toward the bottom, it's defying gravity a wee bit. And the ear appears to be the correct size but a little too far back.
It's a gorgeous piece and none of that detracts from the overall emotion that's captured in it. The face is just fantastic. Flawless, even.
Oh God I know, the knuckles are horrible! I am really, REALLY bad with hands. I mean epicly bad I just can not make them look natural and as his fingers are so very long to begin with... Well, at some point I just gave up and hoped no-one would notice ;D
But I'm glad you like it and thank you ever so much for the critique!
i cannot express how just plan wonderful you are at coloring and making it look as realistic as possible, you are so amazing at it. don't change anything.
